Getting to know Erica King
I was drawn to mental health care because I believe that even in the most difficult moments, you can find hope and move toward a brighter future with the right support. Everyone deserves compassion, understanding, and a safe place to talk about what they’re going through. I’ve seen how powerful it can be when someone no longer feels alone with their struggles. My goal is to serve my community by providing care that combines professional guidance with genuine empathy, so you feel supported as you work through life’s challenges and move toward healing and growth.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Building trust starts with taking the time to truly understand your experiences and what matters most to you. I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, and chronic pain. My previous career as a U.S. Navy Police officer taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of serving others—values that guide the way I show up for you in therapy. Along with my work in the California community, these experiences help me create a supportive environment where you feel respected, understood, and encouraged as you work toward the changes you want in your life.

In our work together, my focus is on creating a space where you feel comfortable sharing openly and where your experiences are truly respected and understood. I tailor my approach to what works best for you, using a variety of tools such as creative techniques like sand tray, art, or music, CBT-based resources, and holistic practices like mindfulness and movement. By offering different approaches, we can find what helps you feel supported and move forward.
