Getting to know Jessica Garcia
My own healing journey led me to this work. Therapy helped me reclaim my voice, strengthen my sense of safety, and reconnect with my inner child. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to ask for help, and I feel honored to support individuals, couples, families, and children as they reconnect with themselves and build lives and relationships rooted in authenticity and self-trust.
I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can feel heard and share your experiences without judgment or assumptions. I’ll listen with curiosity, check in to make sure I understand you, and adapt our work to your needs, goals, relationships, and stage of life. I also welcome your feedback about what feels helpful, uncomfortable, or important along the way.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I’m an animal lover and share my home with dogs and chickens, whom I consider part of my family. They bring companionship, humor, and connection to my everyday life. I also enjoy yoga, creative pursuits, and creating intentional moments of calm and connection.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and appropriately directive. I draw from attachment-based work, parts work, somatic awareness, and mindfulness-based practices, along with practical tools for communication, boundaries, emotional regulation, and repair. I also incorporate DBT-informed skills when they fit your needs. I’m open to drawing from a range of approaches and tailoring our work to each person, couple, or family.
I bring warmth and curiosity alongside clear feedback and gentle accountability. Together, we can explore the patterns, emotions, experiences, and protective responses that may be affecting your life and relationships, and turn insight into action. I’m especially passionate about supporting people who are ready to make meaningful change, actively engage in the process, and release what no longer serves them as they move toward greater freedom and self-trust. I believe healing takes honesty, commitment, and a willingness to look inward. Therapy can also include humor and moments of lightness; healing doesn’t have to feel heavy every minute.
