Getting to know Jessica Roach
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in community mental health care in San Diego and San Francisco for nine years. I earned my Master's in Clinical Social Work from San Diego State University. I believe community care and mental wellness are essential for the well-being of individuals and our communities as a whole.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I practice therapy from a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective. Engaging in therapy can be a big step, and I aim to be a supportive guide on my clients’ therapeutic journeys. I like working collaboratively with clients to identify specific solutions that can help improve overall quality of life.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I practice therapy from a solution-focused, strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. I utilize elements of CBT, DBT, Person Centered, Narrative and Mindfulness-Based Therapy in sessions to support my clients toward well-being and growth.

- Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

I am very happy with my therapist -- she is helping me navigate big, emotional life changes and has been exactly what I need during a rough time. I have made so much progress and feel that I am in a much healthier place with her help. This is the first time I have ever looked forward to therapy sessions and consistently felt better afterwards. She has been such an important part of working through a tough time!
