Getting to know Luis Espinoza
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Foresight. I received my master's degree in social work with a specialty in Children, Youth, and Families from California State University, Dominguez Hills. I have experience working in outpatient, community-based, and justice-involved mental health settings. I have a passion for working with young and older adults to assist them in developing and implementing coping skills to manage and thrive during life transitions and needed change. My specialties include depression, anxiety, coping skills, interpersonal conflict, and stress management. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, person-centered perspective, focusing on genuineness, empathy, and helping clients connect their thoughts, feelings, and actions. I aim to highlight client strengths and help identify and create opportunities for growth. I have experience working with children, teenagers, young adults, and older adults by utilizing interventions from cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered, and eclectic practices.
I like to build rapport with members to help them identify, process, and heal from mental health symptoms and trauma. I support members in harnessing their inner voice, improving self-worth, and changing their narratives toward a positive outlook on life.
