I am inspired to work in the field of mental health because I want to offer support and strategies during challenging times. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help, and I am committed to working with you to improve your circumstances. I hold a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento, and earned my Bachelor's degree from California State University, Chico.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I work on being nonjudgmental so that you feel comfortable and safe enough to share your experiences with me. I welcome feedback so I can continue to offer more of what might be needed so that I can best support you.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I want to meet you where you are at and pace our work together. I respect all parts of your experience and want to make sure that you feel empowered to speak up if you ever feel worried about your care.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $125 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $125 for 60 minutes
- Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
- Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

When I was referred to Monika I felt pretty depressed & hopeless. Since our sessions, I’m feeling much better with the advice & tools she has provided for me. I especially like to know I have to look forward to sessions with her when I’m not exactly feeling so great or maybe I’m feeling better that week or share or ask for help.
