Getting to know Sydney Ashe

I wanted to be a therapist because I’m drawn to understanding people deeply and helping them feel seen, heard, and supported. I’ve always been curious about human behavior and how people heal and grow through connection. Being a therapist allows me to offer a safe space for others to explore themselves, work through pain, and move toward meaningful change. It’s meaningful work that aligns with my values of empathy, authenticity, and compassion. Helping others navigate their inner world feels like a powerful way to make a difference—one conversation at a time. The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Foresight Mental Health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’ll make sure you feel heard and understood by really listening—not just to your words, but to the feelings and meaning behind them. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, reflect what I’m hearing, and check in often to make sure I’m getting it right. This is your space, and I want you to feel safe being fully yourself. I’ll follow your pace, honor your experiences, and stay curious about what matters to you. If something ever feels off, I’ll welcome your feedback so we can adjust and keep building a relationship that feels supportive and collaborative.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Building trust takes time, and it starts with creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and never judged. I show up consistently, with warmth, curiosity, and honesty. I’ll follow your lead, while gently guiding when needed, and I’ll be transparent about the process so you’re never in the dark. I’ll check in with you regularly to make sure our work feels helpful and aligned with your goals. If something doesn’t feel right, we’ll talk about it openly. The relationship itself is a key part of healing, and I’m committed to building one that feels genuine and supportive.
