Patient reviews for Dr. Michael Horan
I always enjoy seeing Dr. Horan. He is a gifted medical practitioner. He is very good with explanations that help his patients understand his instructions and how those instructions will help patients manage their health. He also answers all of my questions.
He seemed disinterested at best.
What a wonderful, kind doctor! Even though I went in for a cold, I came out feeling happy!
I arrived early since I was having blood tests to renew my RX. I was seen 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment which was good. No actual wait time as opposed to my appointment time. Professional demeanor and bedside manner by Dr. Horan. I highly recommend this doctor.
He is awesome! Very knowledgeable and funny! Always make me fell comfortable
As soon as he entered the examine room didn't even said hello or anything. The first and only two questions he asked me was when did it started and where did it hurt... Just like that dry and cut! I started to explain my health problem. He approach me and felt like I discussed him. Just a clarification I'm a clean women and work for a very well known health insurance company. I will not recommend this provider if you're a minority. I was there like for 10 min total. Didn't took the time to ask me the meds I'm currently taking. And he didn't prescribe any meds. He recommended over the counter. Which it was awful because I had tried over the counter meds already for over a week already. He verbally told me what it was. No summary visit paperwork was given to me for records. I just wanted to leave because of the way I felt. Awful visit. Totally waste of my time and money!
Professional and compassionate. Open to consider my medication ideas when appropriate yet very cautious by testing/monitoring for potential side effects. Very patient centered. Diagnosed me w/in 10 minutes as having lung issues and immediately referred me to emergency room. He called them prior to my arrival to alert ER for immediate intake w/no wait!!! ER immediately took me in and had my paperwork completed/waiting for me the moment I walked in the door!
He was thorough and helpful, as usual. Jerry S.
As usual he was prepared, had the technicians come in quickly, and took care of faxing the test results to the hospital. He is a real doctor.
The wait was 1.5 hours. Too long. Could have been conducted over the phone.
Michael has been caring for me for years, and throughout a life-threatening injury. I recommend him and the staff he works with highly.
It was disappointing. I saw him for about 3 minutes during which he only spent 1 minute on the actual issue at hand before needing to send me to a podiatrist because they do not have xrays on site. I generally love my GW docs so this was particularly disappointing, especially since I had had such a positive experience at this location last fall.
Dr. Horan is incredible very understanding and does not rush. Very nice with a sense of humor
I told him what my problems were and he addressed them one by one. As always, he listens, acts and explains why. He is good. Jerry S.
he listens, answers questions and is very knowlegable. Jerry S.
Avoid this place at all costs, you would be better off and safer being treated by a backstreet witch-doctor in a third world country! I was left waiting for over two hours and the medical staff were consistently, rude, brusk and uncaring. Even more worrying and completely unacceptable, I was given a test which was done in an unsafe manner (i.e. the nurse contaminated the swab she proceeded to insert into my mouth by lying it around and open the trash bin with the same hand she was holding the swab with!) when I complained about this to the Dr he just looked at me in disdain and shrugged his shoulders like I was annoying him.
Dr Horan is a very experienced doctor and easy to work with. Highly recommend him
Great facility and nice/helpful staff!
Very positive and professional.
Dr Horan is a true professional. He is my primary care provider and I am very pleased. Would recommend him highly as a caring and knowledgeable doctor.
Wait was way too long.
Dr. Horan is amazing! He's very considerate and thorough.
I'm not sure why I had to wait so long. All I was told was that others had appointments ahead of me. If so then they shouldn't over book appointments. I was even ten minutes early to make sure I didn't miss my appointment. No reflection on my doctor. He was great as always.
I had made an appointment and was seen right on time. Dr. Horan listened well to my concerns and addressed each one. I felt very comfortable with the entire experience. The office was clean and neat. I could do without the TV in the examining room...what's with putting TV's EVERYWHERE?
Dr. Horan is very pleasant in his bedside manner and extremely educated in cardiac medicine. I would recommend him to ANYONE!
I liked my old doctor better, he was kind and listened to you. I've been going to this clinic for a YEAR just trying to get a year of thyroid medicine, they keep tinkering with the dose and now it's back to where it started. And now today they said I have to come back AGAIN in four weeks for another blood test because they didn't even believe me that I'd been on the same dose long enough for another test. Not happy about this ... my old doctor who unfortunately retired did the whole thing in one visit and treated me like a real person.
Very nice and professional
In spite of scheduling in advance for a 11,30am I was seen at 12,45pm- ironically longer than had I walked-in. However as always Urgent Care at Cleveland Park is very good, and Dr. Horan was excellent, as was the XRay technician. They need to sort out their scheduling system, otherwise 5 stars!
Very professional and thorough.
