About Samantha Hussain

Samantha graduated from Pace University’s Lenox Hill Hospital Physician Assistant Program in August 2019 with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She joined Metro Dermatology in November 2019, based at the Elmhurst office. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and is completing her SDPA Diplomate Fellowship. Samantha always strives to provide quality patient-centered care. She tailors her treatment plans to fit each patient’s needs and preferred outcome best. More specifically, in dermatology, she finds it rewarding to treat acne and psoriasis because she understands the psychological impact of these disorders.

This provider started me on a biologic knowing full well I wasn’t in a financial position to be coming in for injections and a paying the office’s co-pay every 2 weeks. One half of the course of treatment was provided (no topicals that are covered by my insurance) and I was then left stranded without a refill because I self injected (as I already knew how since its not my first biologic) I was told after being asked to come in for a follow up appointment that she would mo longer see me, even knowing that I was too close to my refill to get my injections sent to me with enough time. She easily should have written and refill and then had me follow up with another provider at the same office. But she instead decided to be vengeful and lack empathy towards the consequences her decision would bring to my skin. This is by far my worse experience! Profit was chosen over care.
