About Anissa Schymik
Anissa Swaney, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, with specialized trainings in pediatrics, gynecology, GI, surgery, preventive health, nutrition, and fitness. Combined with RN experience she has more than 20 years in healthcare and wellness. She loves working to bring out the best in each person, addressing health and vitality from a comprehensive, holistic perspective.
She holds a Master of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She Studied at Chamberlain College of Nursing, 2019, Denver School of Nursing, 2006, and University of Colorado-Boulder, 1989, respectively. Her passion for medicine stems from being a lifelong athlete along with a love for helping people. Her varied background provides the ability to connect with patients of all ages from all walks of life. She was inspired to pursue medicine while teaching English in Brazil.
Anissa has called the Highlands Ranch community “home” since 2006, staying active with three teenagers and her husband. You can find her running on a trail when not at work or talking about Italy

Do not book this doctor because the medical practice is the most unprofessional and disorganized establishment. Although I confirmed the appointment multiple times and did the new patient information survey, the receptionist called me the day of the appointment stating it was too late in the day and that my appointment would be moved an hour and 10 minutes earlier. I refused because I specifically booked this doctor because she offered later appointments and my work doesn't allow for earlier appointments. They eventually agreed but called me twice after this call to see if I would be seen earlier and I finally agreed to 20 minutes earlier. Waited until it was 10 minutes past my initial appointment time and then decided I did not want to be seen by such an unprofessional medical practice. They called me a half hour after my appointment time asking me to "quickly hop on the call". Do not give this place your business.

I changed insurance this year and was nervous about starting a new process of finding new doctors but was put at ease with my appointment. I went in for my annual Wellness check up which is a free Medicare appt. It went well, lots of questions asked and answered, she did some examining , gave me a couple of tests (remembering words etc) and I received a couple of referrals. I was impressed with the whole process!!

I absolutely love this office. My partner started seeing Anissa and we loved her so much that I made her my primary care provider as well! The office is extremely welcoming, very informative, and the front desk always is so helpful with insurance! Love this place 10/10 recommend! And Anissa is amazing!! ??

Thoroughly unknowledgeable and judgmental about me being on HRT (which my actual highly respected OB-GYN put me on). I partially blame Zocdoc because they indicated this nurse specialized in OB-GYN issues. She doesn’t, and she seemed totally fine with being misrepresented and wasting everyone’s time. Unless you’re looking for a flu shot from this office, don’t bother.
