About Dr. Sarah Bryan

Sarah Bryan, MD, is a board certified Internal Medicine physician with specific interests including preventative care, especially in the setting of complicated diabetes mellitus, staying on top of various cancer screenings, and modifying preventable cardiovascular risk factors in both high and low risk populations. She enjoys working with patients of all age groups and loves any chance to practice her Spanish skills. Dr. Bryan grew up in Southern California and completed her undergraduate education at Westmont College. She then went on to earn her medical degree from St. George’s University and completed her internal medicine residency in Las Vegas, Nevada. Compared to other doctors I’ve seen and offices I’ve been in, this experience was pretty poor. My intake nurse wasn’t very kind and the doctor didn’t ask me a single follow up question. Just in and out. The entire experience was incredibly impersonal and it really just felt like she couldn’t care less about anything that was wrong with me. There was even a few moments where she belittled me for not knowing information. The receptionists were nice, but that was the only positive experience.
The office staff was friendly and efficient. Doctor Bryan was professional, explained everything carefully, and made sure I understood all the care she provided and the next steps of my care.
I had a disappointing experience. I used Zocdoc to find a doc who accepted my insurance, and both Zocdoc and the provider's office indicated that my insurance was accepted. I paid my copay at the appt and had no reason to believe I would owe anything close to the additional bill I received a month later. Billing was only part of the frustration. The office contacted me incessantly before and after my appt. At one point they called to tell me to disregard a notice that my insurance wasn't accepted and reassured me that it WAS accepted—even though I had never received the original notice. I needed a referral to a specialist. After attending that specialist appt, I learned that I had been referred to the wrong specialty and should have been sent to an ENT rather than a GI. That meant additional time and expense in getting the care I was actually seeking. Between the confusing communication, unexpected billing, and incorrect referral, the entire process felt extremely disorganized.

Sarah had a calm daminer and confident answers. Did not try to scare me into vaccination suggestions which allows me time to research before I decide.
