About Dr. Patricia Cavender

Dr. Patricia Cavender is a board-certified dermatologist with over 30 years experience. She received her M.D. from UCLA School of Medicine and remained at UCLA for her dermatology residency. Dr. Cavender’s focus is on adult and pediatric general dermatology, including diagnosis and treatment of moles, rashes, acne, skin conditions, and skin cancer diagnosis and removal. Additionally, Dr. Cavender enjoys performing cosmetic treatments such as Botox and injectable fillers, and feels that from being a woman, she can fully understand what women look for from such procedures. Dr. Cavender is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the California Dermatological Society. Dr. Cavender has lived and worked in the San Gabriel valley for over 20 years, and has raised her sons there. She enjoys travel, skiing and hiking.

I booked an appointment with Dr. Cavender via ZocDoc and was quite relieved when they had a same day opening. They were efficient and friendly. Dr. Patty was very pleasant and informative. Our examination time went quickly and she was nice to talk to. Her assistants on hand were very friendly and accommodating. So glad and relieved I was able to finally find a good dermatologist and awesome clinic. Tricky driving entrance into the parking lot for first time visit.

I also arrived and there was a dispute going on between two women in the office and the woman who was being scolded was also very difficult to work with as I was trying to get to my appointment and had to wait 30 minutes.

A culture and its purpose was also clearly explained. Two topical prescriptions were transmitted to my pharmacy. My PC doctor will be contacted concerning an oral medication. Incredibly nice staff and doctor! She seemed very knowledgable and gave good easy-to-understand analogies about my skin health without being condescending. She spent ample time with me, and I didn’t feel rushed. The office looked brand new. My wait was a bit long, but I was also a new patient and didn’t show up early to my appointment as they had requested, so the wait was mostly my fault. I definitely plan on going back.

I was successfully make the appointment with Dr. Patricia Cavender for Tuesday, July 26 at 1:00pm. But when i arrived the office the reception lady told me they couldn't find my appointment. And she told me i need to call their office to reconfirm the appointment even though i had made appointment on Zocdoc. I don't understand how this system running and why i should make an appointment on Zocdoc if I still need to call doctor's office to reschedule or reconfirm the appointment?!
