Zobaku Acholonu is a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
With a focus on cultural competence and awareness, Zobaku is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care to all skin types, specializing in skin of color. She is adept at diagnosing, treating and managing a variety of dermatologic conditions, including skin cancers, acne, psoriasis, eczema, keloids and hyperpigmentation. Passionate about cosmetic and aesthetic medicine, she is proficient in procedures such as neurotoxin injections (including Botox, Daxxify and Dysport), Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, microneedling, chemical peels and laser treatments to achieve optimal results for her patient’s skin. Her expertise and dedication ensure the highest standard of care for all patients.
Zobaku earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a minor in Psychology from Lock Haven University, where she attended on a full tuition academic scholarship and was a member of the Global Honors Program. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine.
She has been practicing exclusively in dermatology since graduation, beginning her medical career by completing Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Training Program, which combines rigorous academic and clinical training under top dermatologists. This allowed her to gain extensive experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
In her free time, Zobaku enjoys running, traveling and trying new restaurants with friends and family. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member of the Pennsylvania Dermatology Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants and Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants.
