About Dr. Karen Harkaway
Dr. Harkaway graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from Duke University, where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She completed her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and was elected to the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Harkaway remained at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for her internship and residency training in dermatology. Since then, she has been in private practice and serves as Chief of Dermatology at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington. Dr. Harkaway has an extensive background in cosmetic dermatology and dermatologic surgery. She is board certified in dermatology and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Harkaway is a speaker-trainer for Allergan Biomedical (the producer of Botox® Cosmetic and Juvéderm®) and SmartGraft. Also, Dr. Harkaway is on the Clinical Advisory Council of ThermiAesthetics, and has personally helped to develop the extremely successful ThermiTight procedure. She teaches physicians across the country in laser and injection techniques.

Clean & well kept office. Staff were welcoming & friendly. Check-in was easy and timely & I was seen by the Dr Harkaway in a timely fashion. She was personable, attentive, & recommended & ordered treatment for my scalp psoriasis. Overall, a pleasant experience. I kook forward to utilizing the recommended treatment. I’m hoping for a successful, effective solution to manage my scalp dilemma!

I went in for a small cyst I had on my the top of my breast, The cyst was removed, however the cut that was made and the stitching was poorly done. The scar I have now is far worse than the cyst I went in to have removed. Sloppy cutting and stitching. It looks so bad, I will have to explore other options to minimize the scar. I am very disappointed.
