About Dr. Aisleen Diaz

Dr. Aisleen Diaz is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in cosmetic and medical dermatology. She combines advanced clinical training, extensive research experience, and a personalized approach to help patients achieve healthy skin and natural aesthetic results. Dr. Diaz earned her Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree with Honors in Biology and a minor in Philosophy from Florida International University. She went on to receive her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine, where she graduated at the top of her class. During medical school, she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received Academic Honors, Clinical Distinction, and the Wolters Kluwer Medical Education Excellence Award. She subsequently completed her internship at the University of Miami–Holy Cross Hospital Program before going to Mount Sinai in New York City for her dermatology residency, where she was selected by her peers to serve as Chief Resident during her final year. She currently serves as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Diaz specializes in cosmetic dermatology, offering laser and energy-based treatments, hyaluronic acid and biostimulatory injectables, neurotoxin injections, skin tightening procedures, and chemical peels. She is known for her patient-centered approach, taking the time to listen carefully and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals. In clinical practice, Dr. Diaz treats a broad range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, pigmentary disorders, and skin cancer.

It was my first time doing a full body skin cancer scan, which the provider knew, so I would’ve appreciated being talked through as she was looking over truly every inch of my body. It felt rushed and hard to keep up with the pace of the small talk. You could also hear the provider and their patient in the next room, not clearly but still a little weird. Otherwise the entire practice was very clean and professional.
The experience was amazing! I’m from Spain, so being able to speak with her in Spanish was a huge plus for me. She listened carefully to my whole story and all of my questions, and she recommended the best treatment option for my acne.

The office was incredibly clean and professional, I was seen even before my scheduled time (I arrived early) and the doctor was understanding, respectful, and thorough.
This is my second time seeing Dr. Diaz. She was knowledgeable, a good listener and a communicator and addressed all my concerns. However, as soon as I leave the office, it’s extremely hard to connect with anyone in the office via their online portal which is their recommended communication channel. I have a prescription that requires a prior authorization. I messaged them twice via Klara with no response and had my insurance contact the office directly twice as well. Both times a message was left with the front desk. I have also called them directly multiple times but was never able to speak directly with their PA team. While the overall in-office experience was decent, the unresponsiveness was frustrating especially when it’s related to an urgent matter. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.
Got good advice prescriptions and she listened well. I wish I could have had more time to explain a few things and get a more detailed exam. I’ll go back for further details.

Great office at a great location with a great view of Central Park. Friendly staff, from receptionist to assistant to doctor. Listened to all concerns and they were all addressed very thoroughly.
