About Dr. Alan Wong
Dr. Alan Wong is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon.
He specializes in Mohs surgery, dermatologic oncology, general dermatology, and reconstructive surgery, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and surgical excellence.
Dr. Wong earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, where he received the prestigious President’s Scholarship for academic achievement. He went on to earn his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. He completed his preliminary year in internal medicine at the University of South Florida/HCA Blake Hospital before pursuing dermatology residency training at Kansas City University GME/ADCS Orlando, where he served as Chief Resident and received the Big Heart Award for his dedication to patient care and community outreach.
Following residency, Dr. Wong completed an ACGME- and ACMS-accredited fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at TriHealth GME/The Skin Cancer Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. He trained under Dr. Brett Coldiron, past president of the American College of Mohs Surgery and recipient of the Frederic E. Mohs Award.
In clinical practice, Dr. Wong provides comprehensive dermatologic care with expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery, skin cancer treatment, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on topics related to Mohs surgery, dermatologic surgery, cosmetic surgery, and general dermatology. He has also presented at numerous national dermatology conferences and remains active in academic medicine as faculty and clinical instructor for medical students and dermatology residents.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Wong enjoys hiking, traveling, and cooking with his family.
