About Dr. Aman Samrao
Dr. Samrao obtained her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She then attended medical school at the University of Southern California. After obtaining her medical degree, Dr. Samrao worked as a clinical research fellow in the University of California, San Francisco’s department of Dermatology, where she studied and acquired an expertise in the dermatologic subspecialty of hair loss. She then worked as a clinical research fellow in the department of Dermatology at Oregon Health and Science University, conducting clinical trials for a variety of skin disorders. She completed her residency in 2014 in the division of Dermatology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and obtained her board certification from the American Board of Dermatology in 2014.
After residency Dr. Samrao worked at Kaiser Permanente in the Central Valley where she was Chief of the Department of Dermatology. She was also one of only three hair loss sub-specialists in the entire Northern California region of Kaiser Permanente. While at Kaiser Permanente, she continued to pursue research in hair loss. Dr. Samrao left Kaiser Permanente to pursue private practice at the end of 2022.
Dr. Samrao has a passion for accurately diagnosing and treating skin and hair disease. In addition, she loves to help people achieve their aesthetic goals in a way that enhances their natural beauty and uniqueness.
In her spare time Dr. Samrao enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and son.
