Dr. Azita Simoni is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatological surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Simoni received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Yeshiva University in New York and obtained her medical degree, cum laude, from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. She completed her residency in dermatology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, which offers one the most well-respected dermatology residencies on the east coast.
Dr. Simoni has received multiple honors including Roth Institute Scholarship for excellence in Science, Award for Excellence in Anatomy and Cell Biology and the Endowed Honors Scholarship. She has over 16 years of experience practicing general and cosmetic dermatology and is passionate about treating and managing acne.

Dr. Simoni has been my dermatologist for several years. I have always found her to be kind, friendly, and thorough. She always listens to my concerns and addresses them fully.

As a black woman, this appointment reaffirmed the fact that it is so important for us to find providers that look like us. The fact of the matter is, our skin and our needs may be different than others and require more care and attention.
I felt like my appointment was rushed and she was just trying to prescribe me things without even trying to understand/figure out, or even explain to me what could be happening with my skin. I told her that I think something in my home is causing my skin to act up as of late and her first response was to provide me some sort of allergy medication without even asking me any other questions or recommending an allergist. She assumed that I have sensitive skin without asking questions about my prior history. I’ve never had skin sensitivity issues before now so I came here trying to figure out what was going on and came home still having to do my own research. I hope whatever she prescribed works and I’m sure is temporary, but overall very
disappointed.
