About Dr. Cary Feibleman

Dr. Cary E. Feibleman is a board-certified, fellowship trained dermatologist with over 30 years of practice experience and holds special certification in Dermatopathology. Dr. Feibleman studied for his bachelor’s degree at both the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Oregon. He received his medical degree from the University of Oregon and completed his Dermatology training at the State University of New York at Buffalo, serving as chief resident during his final year. To further his knowledge and training, Dr. Feibleman also completed a research fellowship in Dermatoimmunology at Johns Hopkins University Medical School and a Dermatopathology fellowship at Buffalo. In addition to his training and experience, Dr. Feibleman is also a member of many professional organizations, including: American Academy of Dermatology American Society of Dermatopathology American Society of Dermatologic Surgery California Dermatologic Society Pacific Dermatologic Association Los Angeles County Medical Society California Medical Association American Medical Association Dr. Feibleman’s work has appeared in numerous medical journals, and he has authored several book chapters dealing with various dermatologic conditions. In 1996, he was featured in a Los Angeles Magazine article listing the best doctors in the Los Angeles area. He has been elected every year since then by his fellow physicians to the list of the Best Doctors in America.

Dr. Feibleman, is a great doctor! Very attentive and his assistant is just as wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to answer any question you may have. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the receptionist; she seemed to be annoyed and wasn’t very friendly.

I think the appointment was helpful. Too early to tell if the new skin medication for seborrheic dermatitis he’s having me try will work, but I appreciate the unique treatment. I less appreciated the listening: quick to answer before I’m done talking, generally just talking and asking fast and making me feel I need to hurry up cuz he’s barely got time for me. Just slowing down a little with a bit of a personal touch would go a long way. Not doing that might make people hesitate to come back.

I cannot recommend this doctor enough. I walked into his practice for the first time needing a skin biopsy on both feet for a rare blood disease that causes a horrific rash on my lower legs. So many doctors have written me off despite me being a patient with the Rare Disease Clinic at UCLA. Dr Feibleman took one look at my rash and said “yep, you need a biopsy.” He said he’s only seen one patient with the rash I had in 30 years but he never forgot it so he could help others. Im terrified of needles and blood but the two biopsies took less than 10 minutes total with minimal pain. I cried with relief when it was finished and shook Dr Feibleman’s hand. For the first time in a few months, I wasn’t trying to educate a doctor that slept through blood disorder lessons during medschool. Dr Fiebleman is clearly more than experienced and knowledgeable. I will go to him for anything skin related under the sun from now on. Choose this dermatologist, he is the best.

Felt a bit rushed with the appointment. He don’t go into a lot of detail about what could be causing my issues/ what to expect. Overall I’d go back again but with some reservations. Also the office Long Beach office building charges for parking and the price depends on how long you are there. I was there an hour and paid $5.
