I was there to get a second opinion for a spot on my back. The first thing the doctor asked was if I had a dermatologist and I said yes and explained that I was previously diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. My dermatologist stated the spot was a hair follicle that could be removed but would come back. I just wanted to be sure. When she looked at the spot she said something like “that ugly scar” referring to where the melanoma was removed. It didn’t bother me at the time but did later. Is that a nice thing to say really? What is it with some medical people? Are you so busy that you give the minimum to a new prospective patient? I almost felt like I was wasting her time. I previously had a similar experience with a new dentist I saw.

The staff at this dermatologist office was very helpful and friendly. Dr. Jean Buhac was very competent and had a great bedside manner. I was seen by the doctor right away and my treatment was successful. I was in and out of the office within 30 minutes.
