Dr. Gordon graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University, then earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Gordon completed an internship in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital and a residency in dermatology at The New York University Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Gordon’s research interests have included melanosomal biogenesis, treatment of Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, Stevens Johnson Syndrome and Erythema Multiforme Major. She has published the results of her clinical research and presented her findings at national meetings. Dr. Gordon has special expertise and interest in women’s skin problems.

This was the first time I had been to this office, Dr Gordon addressed my concerns thoroughly. She even notice something about my skin that I hadn’t. I am extremely satisfied with my experience with Karen Gordon MD of Schweiger Dermatology. She and her staff are always there when I need them. I schedule several appts a year for body checks with my history of skin cancer. If I need her at other times, she is there for me then too. The staff is also friendly and attentive. I am happy with her bedside manner, her medical skills and her surgical skills.

After I saw Dr. Gordon today, I told 2 friends. One said she had not seen a dermatologist but needs to. I told her about Dr. Gordon and she said she was going to contact her. Another said she has an appointment with a local dermatologist, but this doctor is not highly recommended. She said she will cancel the appointment and will call to see Dr. Gordon. I hope they both follow through, because I know they will like and be impressed with Dr. Gordon.
