About Marjan Tabarestani
Marjan Tabarestani, PA, is a foreign graduate medical doctor with 12 years of experience in family medicine. Ever since she was a child, she has always wanted to be a doctor and help people. In Iran, she practiced family medicine and had her own clinic where she worked to provide the best care for her patients.
After moving to the USA, Marjan wanted to continue on her path of providing health care to patients. Her philosophy of patient care is that she treats every patient as if they are part of her family or a friend. She treats her patients with the same time, dedication, and commitment that she would invest in those closest to her. Additionally, she says she will never forget that a patient is a person, and that she respects a patient's right to self-determination (autonomy), the duty to ?do good? (beneficence), the duty to ?not do bad? (non-maleficence), and to treat all people equally and equitably (justice).
Marjan graduated from Islamic Azad University Tehran Faculty of Medicine's accelerated program, earning her Bachelor's degree and Doctor of Medicine. She earned a master's degree in family practice in 1997 and completed a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Saint Elizabeth University, NJ
