He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Harvard University and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Halpern then completed his Dermatology residency at Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital and a two-year fellowship in Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident of Dermatology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery and has performed over 10,000 Mohs surgery cases. Dr. Halpern has been recognized with the Best of Main Line award in 2012, 2013, and 2014. He is one of the few Mohs surgery specialists in our region. In his free time, Dr. Halpern enjoys running and playing tennis.
