About Dr. Steven Fishman
Dr. Steven J. Fishman is a board-certified dermatologist with more than 30 years of experience providing medical, surgical, and procedural dermatologic care.
Throughout his career, he has founded and led successful dermatology practices across New York, caring for patients in the Catskills, Mid-Hudson Valley, and the Hamptons. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care grounded in compassion, clinical excellence, and service to the communities he serves.
Raised in Liberty, New York, Dr. Fishman earned his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he developed an early interest in dermatology and published the first of many dermatologic research papers. During medical school, he was awarded the prestigious American Dermatological Association Medical Student Research Fellowship in recognition of his academic achievement and research contributions.
Dr. Fishman completed his dermatology residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Throughout his training, he presented research at national and regional meetings, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Investigative Dermatology, and the Southern Medical Association. His residency provided extensive training in dermatologic surgery, establishing the foundation for a distinguished career in both medical and procedural dermatology.
In clinical practice, Dr. Fishman diagnoses and treats a broad spectrum of dermatologic conditions while performing a full range of dermatologic surgical procedures.
