About Dr. Sumeet Sandhu
Dr. Sandhu is a board-certified allergist and immunologist at Schweiger Dermatology & Allergy.
She manages a variety of allergy and immunology disorders in children and adults of all ages, including hives, eczema, food allergy, seasonal and perennial allergies, asthma, sinusitis, contact dermatitis and drug allergies. She is committed to working with patients to provide high-quality evidence-based personalized care.
Dr. Sandhu earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, then completed her general pediatrics residency training at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. She returned to SUNY Downstate Medical Center for her allergy and immunology fellowship training.
She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology, American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and New York Allergy and Asthma Society. Dr. Sandhu has completed research projects in pediatrics, allergy and immunology, and has presented at national professional meetings and published in academic peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Sandhu is a native New Yorker. In her free time, she spends time with family and friends and likes to travel.

In all my 45 years as a health care professional I have never been treated so disrespectful. The vs was 10 min new patient Rx labs which she approved to be done at Northwell 4/30 same day of vs . She refused to answer my texts, calls regarding lab results ..A release I was informed needed to be fax or email. Both were done. The fax number given was wrong, after several calls. I was told because is Northwell they cannot have the results. I spoke to the lab informed me the results were in days they e mail me the results which are been reviewed by my colleagues. DO NOT SEE HER. She did not even answer me when I called with a reaction to medication suggested. All she was interested was if I was keeping next vs for results. Her actions speaks volume. I could have needed ER visit luckly I did not. Via preponderance of evidence she was negligent in providing care to me. A simple call would have calm my concerns but true she would not get reimbursed for the call!!! PATIENTS BEWARE!!!!!

Dr. Sandhu saw me right away and was extremely knowledgeable and kind. She answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. I look forward to seeing her again for my follow up. The office was also clean and efficient.

Didn’t give me the help i needed. I’m still suffering because i asked for a steroid for the hives and was not given it. Just a prescription for another antihistamine which i already shared with her didn’t work. So now i need to go to another doctor or urgent care just for relief. Seemed like she was listening but then disregarded everything I said to her. Prescription didn’t help at all as i told her it was more severe and really bothering me..

Firstly, the office inside is super nice and clean. I was greeted by friendly staff and I was seen right away After checking in. Dr. Sandhu was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about allergies. She recommended different forms of testing and explain them all in detail. She didn't push one of them on me if I didn't want it. She's clearly an expert. I would definitely recommend her to a friend or family member.

Dr. Sandhu is a wonderful doctor! She takes time and listens to your symptoms, and she explains how procedures, treatments, etc. work, always discussing them clearly and patiently. She is thoughtful, engaged, and a great patient advocate when it comes to dealing with pharmacies, insurance, and the like. She has seriously improved my asthma and allergies, and she continues to take fantastic care of my health. Dr. Sandhu's team is also awesome! Viviana and Neka are so warm and caring, and they always greet me with a smile when I get to the office. The three of them work extremely well together, and it shows in how efficiently and kindly they care for their patients. The ladies who take care of you at the entry are also super-friendly and very helpful. All in all, a fantastic provider at a really nice office!
