About Dr. Sumeet Sandhu

Dr. Sandhu is a board-certified allergist and immunologist at Schweiger Dermatology & Allergy. She manages a variety of allergy and immunology disorders in children and adults of all ages, including hives, eczema, food allergy, seasonal and perennial allergies, asthma, sinusitis, contact dermatitis and drug allergies. She is committed to working with patients to provide high-quality evidence-based personalized care. Dr. Sandhu earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, then completed her general pediatrics residency training at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. She returned to SUNY Downstate Medical Center for her allergy and immunology fellowship training. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology, American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and New York Allergy and Asthma Society. Dr. Sandhu has completed research projects in pediatrics, allergy and immunology, and has presented at national professional meetings and published in academic peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Sandhu is a native New Yorker. In her free time, she spends time with family and friends and likes to travel.

Dr. Sandhu is a wonderful doctor! She takes time and listens to your symptoms, and she explains how procedures, treatments, etc. work, always discussing them clearly and patiently. She is thoughtful, engaged, and a great patient advocate when it comes to dealing with pharmacies, insurance, and the like. She has seriously improved my asthma and allergies, and she continues to take fantastic care of my health. Dr. Sandhu's team is also awesome! Viviana and Neka are so warm and caring, and they always greet me with a smile when I get to the office. The three of them work extremely well together, and it shows in how efficiently and kindly they care for their patients. The ladies who take care of you at the entry are also super-friendly and very helpful. All in all, a fantastic provider at a really nice office!
