About Dr. Tian Ran Zhu
Dr. Zhu is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
He specializes in the treatment of complex and high-risk skin cancers with expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery and facial reconstructive procedures. Dr. Zhu is dedicated to providing personalized care and achieving the best possible outcomes for each of his patients.
A Bay Area native, Dr. Zhu earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Immunology from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
During medical school, he completed a dedicated research year at the UCSF Psoriasis and Skin Treatment Center.
Dr. Zhu completed his internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. While at Albert Einstein, he trained with world-renowned experts in cutaneous oncology and complex skin disease and was honored with several academic awards and distinctions.
He went on to complete an intensive fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at the University of Virginia.
In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Zhu is highly committed to patient-centered care and takes pride in addressing the unique concerns of each person.
Outside of work, Dr. Zhu enjoys basketball, tennis, running and hiking. He’s a dedicated NFL and NBA fan and occasionally attends college games as well.
