About Dr. Andrea Colton

Dr. Colton graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974 and University of Miami Medical School in 1978, near the top of her class. Following a four-year Dermatology residency at the University of Miami, she has worked in a highly successful private dermatology practice for 37 years. Dr. Colton founded Clearlyderm in 2011, in order to improve access to the highest quality and ethical dermatology care.
As a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Colton has had a long, distinguished career. She has received numerous accolades, including being chosen as one of the country’s best dermatologists by both US News and World reports and Castle Connolly.
Dr. Colton is currently on faculty at Florida Atlantic University as a Clinical Affiliate Associate Professor of Clinical Biomedical Science in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and is involved in the dermatology education of medical students.
Dr. Colton’s focus is on comprehensive collaborative dermatology care and works closely with dermatology Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to create new, innovative care models that will include quality improvement and benchmarks in dermatology.
Dr. Colton is married to Dr. Robert Colton and has five beautiful children and three golden retrievers. She resides in Boca Raton, Florida.
