About Sophia Foster
Sophia Foster, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology at Schweiger Dermatology Group. She practices in both our Forest Hills and Sheepshead Bay locations.
Sophia received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Syracuse University, where she graduated summa cum laude, before going on to obtain her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Albany Medical College. Sophia completed 28 months of PA school, which consisted of both didactic and clinical education in various specialties including dermatology and plastic surgery.
Sophia’s passion for dermatology began early on, when she worked as a medical assistant at a dermatology practice in her hometown of Albany, NY. She worked there for 1.5 years developing her dermatological knowledge base before going on to PA school. She then began her career as a provider by completing Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program. This 7-month, intensive academic and clinical training opportunity allowed Sophia to work alongside top dermatologists and expand upon her skills in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Sophia is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
