Angela Ryerson is a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She is committed to providing a thorough, compassionate, patient-centered approach to the dermatological care of her patients.
Angela graduated magna cum laude from The College of New Jersey, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia, graduating summa cum laude.
After graduating, she completed Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Training Program. During the program, she received extensive hands-on training from top dermatology providers with rigorous academic oversight and instruction.
She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants.

Wow, finally a dermatologist who listens and takes her time with her patients! I have seen a few dermatologists and they always seem like they’re rushing you out and half listening. It felt like Angela actually cared and took my concern seriously. I will definitely continue to see her.

Unfortunately, my experience was not good. I had an appointment to have some cysts removed from my skin, and the doctor didn't dedicate any time to asking me questions, showed no interest whatsoever, and made me feel like I wasn't an important patient to her. She was with me for no more than 5 minutes and said she didn't remove cysts, which isn't true, and referred me to another doctor in another city. She showed zero interest and respect for the patient. I wouldn't recommend this doctor .

Angela is a fantastic provider. She is very professional and a great listener. I did not feel rushed and I felt she gave me ample time to talk through my skin issues. She gave me a solid medication and topical regimen for adult acne. She also performed a wart removal and made me feel calm in an otherwise uncomfortable situation. Highly recommend.

Angela was amazing! She was patient. She listened to understand instead of listening just to respond. She took her time and thought before she spoke. She made sure to explain my diagnosis as well as the next steps I should take in a way that helped me to understand the urgency in which I should take those next steps. When she asked if there were any more questions, I didn't feel like I was being rushed to hurry up and give an answer. I will absolutely go to her again and recommend her.

Not understanding and doesn’t listen to patients would never go back! Tried to explain what normally works for my skin type she refused to listen and still wanted me to try her recommendation about a certain type of medicine when I requested the medication that I felt would work she refused to prescribe please listen to your patient all though you have the expertise patient know their bodies better!!

She said “I don’t know” a lot and refused to listen my concerns. She said she wasn’t the kind of doctor with the knowledge to help me and when I asked what kind of doctor I should see she said “I don’t know.” Avoid.
