About Dr. Anand Bhupathy
Dr. Bhupathy is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
He has more than 20 years of experience in medical dermatology, focusing on rashes, skin growths and other chronic or bothersome conditions. Dr. Bhupathy provides surgical care for the removal of small growths that may pose a risk or impair daily function. He is known for his efficient, patient-centered approach, striving to address all concerns during each visit by gathering relevant history and collaborating with patients to determine the best course of treatment.
His clinical philosophy emphasizes starting with lower-risk, conservative treatments before progressing to more advanced therapies when necessary. Dr. Bhupathy treats patients of all ages and particularly values caring for first responders, military personnel and senior citizens.
He earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College, followed by a dermatology residency at Western University of Health Sciences. He later completed fellowships in skin cancer and cosmetic dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco and the University of California, Los Angeles.
Although he does not perform cosmetic procedures, Dr. Bhupathy’s fellowship training allows him to provide unbiased guidance in this area. His background includes solo practice and work in multispecialty groups, experiences that have affirmed his belief in the effectiveness of focused dermatology practices like Schweiger Dermatology Group.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. Dr. Bhupathy is committed to serving his community and has volunteered teaching medical students in Riverside and Colton.
Originally from Brooklyn, West Virginia and the Midwest, he now calls California home. In his free time, he enjoys historical films and exploring cinematic storytelling.
