About Dr. Dennis Porto
Dr Porto is a double board-certified Mohs surgeon and dermatologist. Dr Porto graduated at the top of his class in medical school at the University of Iowa before completing a skin cancer research fellowship at Harvard, a one year medicine internship, and a three year dermatology residency. In dermatology residency, Dr Porto refined his surgical, reconstructive, laser, and cosmetic expertise. Dr Porto credits much of his professional and surgical development to mentorship by American College of Mohs Surgery past-president, Dr. Roger Ceilley and American Academy of Dermatology past-president Dr. Henry Lim.
After this clinical training, Dr Porto was awarded the Lewis Hackett scholarship to return to Harvard where he studied at the School of Public Health (HSPH) and the Business School (HBS) and was awarded a Masters in Public Health. He completed additional post-graduate training in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction and is a board-certified micrographic surgeon. He is the author of dozens of textbook chapters and journal articles. Dr Porto was an author and editor for the textbook on Botox and other cosmetic injections. He was awarded the Golden Scalpel by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Whether he is surgically removing a skin cancer, using cosmetic lasers or injectables, or helping a patient with acne achieve clear skin, Dr Porto loves finding ways to guide his patients to perfect skin health.

Thje whole experience for this Dermatologist is great. When I confirmed my
apointment the office texted me a few times to remind me of my appointment. When I went to the office, the wait time was just a few minutes. The staff was very friendly and the whole office was "spic and span". As for Dr. Porto, he was friendly, listened to my request and did the
procedure. This isn't the first time Dr. Porto worked on my problems so I am pleased with his work and would recommend him hiighly.

I strongly advise anyone with HSA insurance to avoid Dr. Dennis Porto. Unlike most dermatologists, his office charges not only for the procedure but also for the time you spend in the office, and the rate is unbelievably high per hour. Even a short visit can turn into a shockingly high bill. If you’re an HSA holder looking to manage costs, stay far away from this practice.

Dr Porto is a skilled dermatologist who listens and is attentive to he Ned’s of his patient's. I have recommended family members, who I care deeply for, to see him.

I interacted with 3 people, and they all showed poor attitude.
First, some woman comes in & demands to see and take pics of everything. She's not even a medical professional. I didn't come for a non-medical professional to ask to see and take photos of my body. When I said that I rather just speak to the doctor, and didn't want pictures taken of everything, she stormed out of the room saying that she will tell the doctor that I'm "uncooperative and the doctor will be very upset with me!" Like this is kindergarten...
Then the doctors walks in and starts lecturing me that I need to let her take the pictures and tell her my medical problems "because this is their rule". Again, lecturing me like kindergarten. Then the Dr was obviously angry & rude and refused to do the smallest thing. He gave his diagnosis, which the woman was supposed to write down for me. But she told me that "I'm free to go". I asked her for the written diagnosis, but she stormed out of the room and disappeared

Dr. Porto listened patiently to me describing my symptoms and the factors that I believed caused them. He agreed that chemical exposure likely caused the rash on my arms. He prescribed medication that took care of the symptoms in less than a day. I went immediately from not being able to sleep at night to being on the mend. Great experience and I would see him again.
