About Dr. Catherine Biren
Dr. Catherine Biren is a lifetime board-certified dermatologist with 34 years of experience.
In 1989, Dr. Biren opened her own private dermatology practice, and since then, has proudly served the residents of Modesto, Oakdale, and surrounding communities. She looks forward to meeting patients around the Monterey area. Dr. Biren is an expert in skin cancer surgery, medical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology, and has been voted “Best Dermatologist in Stanislaus County.” She offers patients an extensive series of treatments and products designed to make skin look younger and more radiant.
Dr. Biren attended UCLA at age 16, graduating magna cum laude with departmental honors in Biology. She completed medical school at Northwestern and completed her dermatology fellowship at UC Irvine/Long Beach, where she was elected Chief Resident. Dr. Biren serves on the Board of the North American Clinical Dermatologic Society, a non-profit academic organization that seeks to acquire and share the latest therapeutic techniques in dermatology with international dermatology colleagues.
In her free time, Dr. Biren loves to travel. Her husband is a radiologist, along with her son, and her daughter is a veterinarian.
