About Joe Gorelick

Joe Gorelick, MSN, FNP-C joined California Skin Institute with over 15 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Mr. Gorelick’s practice involves all aspects of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiology at the University of California at Davis and received a Master of Science degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Joe is nationally board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He is an adjunct faculty member of the Nurse Practitioner Program at Holy Names College in Oakland, California where he lectures on dermatological conditions and surgical techniques. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Touro University Medical School in Vallejo, California. Joe works as a consultant to the medical industry, lecturing on medical and cosmetic dermatology. He is a trainer and nationally acclaimed injector of toxins and fillers. In addition to toxins and fillers Joe also performs cosmetic procedures such as; miraDry, Vascular Laser, and Obagi Blue Peel. He takes special interest in complexion correction, and minor cosmetic procedures to remove unwanted growths. Joe actively volunteers with the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and The Skin Cancer Foundation by performing skin cancer screenings in community settings. Joe has a particular interest in peer-to-peer education. Additionally, he serves as an advisory board member, faculty member, guest lecturer, trainer and consultant to numerous pharmaceutical companies. This exchange of information leads to advances in the practice and art of dermatology among Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants; he considers this a personal honor.

They didn’t use the prefilled ZocDoc information. So why did they make me fill it out again at the office? Physician Joe himself was great.
