Mary is a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology at Schweiger Dermatology Group. She practices at the Park Avenue Office in New York City.
Mary initially graduated from Washington and Lee University with a degree in Business Administration. After receiving an Elrod Fellowship from the University to continue her interest in nonprofit work in the eradication of preventable disease, she decided to pursue her passion for health and prevention in hands-on care. She completed her post-bach coursework at Johns Hopkins University prior to completing her BSN at University of Rochester. After completing a Nurse Residency Program at Duke University while working as a pediatric nurse, she continued her studies at Vanderbilt University where she attained her Master’s in Nursing and board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
While she has fostered a personal interest in Dermatology since a young age, it was in her prior role working in oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center that her transition into the specialty was solidified. She saw firsthand the variety of ways disease manifests on the skin and the impact this had on patients.
This interest culminated in her completing Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship. This program combines rigorous academic and clinical training by top dermatologists, which allowed Mary to gain firsthand experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
Mary maintains a passion for prevention and early screening, accessible treatment plans tailored to each patient’s lifestyle, and natural results that help patients to feel their best in the skin they are born in.
