About Dr. Amanda Barrett
Dr. Barrett grew up in New Tazewell, Tennessee. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology at Middle Tennessee State University. Her medical school career at East Tennessee State University was notable for being in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After graduating in 2004, she attended residency at Vanderbilt University. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Barrett lives in Nashville with her husband and their two children. When away from work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and playing board games or working puzzles with friends and family. Dr. Barrett enjoys obstacle course races and has participated in several over the years. Be sure to ask her about her team’s costumes for the races. It’s a good story but a better visual.
