Carmen Lafia, M.D., received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. She attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. After completing residency, she returned to Michigan to serve the women of her home state. Dr. Lafia is passionate about women’s health and loves taking care of women of all different ages. She understands that gynecological concerns can be hard to talk about and she enjoys making personal connections with her patients. She has experience in high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Lafia is affiliated with the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She enjoys spending time with her family. She is married and has a daughter and a bulldog.

I was disappointed with my recent visit. The doctor mentioned that blood work would be done, but when I arrived, there was no one available to perform it, and it never happened. This gave me the impression that the clinic doesn’t fully appreciate the importance of these appointments. Additionally, the doctor recommended multiple tests, but the front desk only scheduled one and failed to inform me about the others. This lack of coordination and communication left me questioning whether my well-being is truly a priority for them. Based on this experience, I’m not confident I would recommend this clinic to others.

I had to call 2 times to find out my test results before they finally called back. When I did talk to someone I was left with no response as to how the doctor planned to follow up. I was being seen for pain. I was told she would order an ultrasound and never received a follow up. She sucked

The appointment felt very rushed. My last OB left so im basically shopping for a new one and she was ready to leave before I can get all my concerns out. Just not what im used to. She was pleasant. The office was interestingly. The way they take the urine test seemed very unsanitary being that there was no lid to the top.

This was my first appointment with Dr Lafia. I was impressed by the staff and by Dr Lafia. I would definitely recommend this office and particularly Dr Lafia.

I didn’t feel comfortable or listened too. Felt the provided was pretty insensitive and only offered me hormonal BC instead of discussing the root of any issues I brought up. Ordered me 6 vials of blood for testing and was only given four test results to view. No visit notes were recorded which has never once happened. The front desk and phlebotomist were friendly and attentive.
