About Dr. Claudia Nicholas
Dr. Claudia Nicholas is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was born in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. She served in the US Army for 27 years, to include the years of training in the Missouri National Guard, and ROTC while in undergraduate. She retired in 2021 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2003 and completed her residency in OB/GYN at Tripler Army Medical Center, in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a Lieutenant Colonel she served as a Department Chair at different Army Community Hospitals for six years. After over 14 years in the Army medical corps and four moves, Dr. Nicholas and her family decided it was time to settle and return home to Missouri and be near loved ones.
Dr. Nicholas has been married for over 21 years. While serving in the Army, she met her spouse and they have two sons together. She enjoys all things MIZZOU and her favorite holiday is the Day of the Dead. Her pastimes are cooking, baking, and entertaining; skiing and hiking; visiting local festivals and concerts; and plans to take up biking the MKT trail and painting as new pastimes.
Dr. Nicholas’ areas of interest include all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. She has a special interest in complicated obstetrics, and minimally invasive surgery; including laparoscopy. Dr. Nicholas is trained on da Vinci robotic surgery.
