About Dr. William McKenzie

A native of Selma, Alabama, Dr. McKenzie is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and The University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. McKenzie completed his internship and residency training at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has an interest in the laparoscopic and robotic approach to treatment of endometriosis, pelvic relaxation and uterine fibroids. He enjoys high risk obstetrics and relationship oriented medicine. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology and is on staff at Brookwood Hospital.
Dr. McKenzie is married to Tracey A. McKenzie and is the father of four children.

The compassion and kindness of every single person I talked to in the office today was amazing. I’ve never felt so seen and cared for in all the gyn appointments I’ve been to before. I love OB/GYN South. Dr. McKenzie has been my physician for over 27 years. I love how he listens and talks to me about my health and personal life. This is truly his ministry, not his vocation. The office staff is friendly, and it's always so clean. I recommend him and this office to anyone, Oh and it doesn't hurt that he is located in Alabaster is a plus as well. I don't have to drive to Birmingham to see a great physician.

I have known Dr. Mackenzie for well over 10 years and he is an amazing professional, but still personable and warm. He is probably the nicest doctor I have ever seen. I would not trust anyone else with my gynecological health but Dr. Mac.
The office and staff are also warm and friendly. You feel more like an old friend than a patient, but with the best professional care. You are treated with respect and kindness from the first initial contact until the last.
I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for the best obstetrical/gynecological care in Alabama.
