About Dr. Scott Logan
Scott Logan, MD, is a board-certified obstetrics and gynecology specialist at Westmoreland OBGYN Associates, a leader in women’s health for more than four decades with offices on the North Shore of Lake Michigan in Lake Bluff and Grayslake, Illinois.
Dr. Logan has been living his passion for more than two decades. He is steadfast in his commitment to maximizing a woman's quality of life beginning with adolescence through the childbearing years to menopause and beyond by providing the highest quality patient care. For Dr. Logan, being a good doctor is not only about treating issues that may arise, but also preventing conditions before they happen.
Perhaps it is this philosophy of practice that has earned him numerous awards acknowledging his commitment to performing the highest quality patient care. These patient-nominated awards include the Patients’ Choice Award and the prestigious Patients' Choice 5th Anniversary Award bestowed to doctors recognized for excellence in care for five years in a row as well as the Compassionate Doctor Recognition.
Dr. Logan began his journey to his medical career as an undergraduate student at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating with honors. Dr. Logan earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, also graduating with honors. He rounded out his postdoctoral training with a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Washington University – Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
When Dr. Logan isn’t caring for his patients at Westmoreland OBGYN Associates, he enjoys sports, golf, travel, and gardening as well as spending time with his family.

Dr. Logan was very nice and addressed my specific concerns. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to doctors and with previous providers I have felt brushed aside or over looked but Dr. Logan and his support staff felt like they were truly seeing me as a patient and not a number. I’ve been seeing Dr. Logan since I was in my late 20s. 40+ years has gone by and as always, he has a calm and comforting demeanor. He asks me pertinent questions and allows me the time to ask questions too. I feel comfortable asking him to re-explain things that I need clarification about. During the exam, he explains what he’s doing so there’s no uncomfortable surprises. He has always had such a wonderful bedside manner. He’s friendly yet very professional. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Scott Logan is an amazing doctor! He’s thoughtful, considerate, and doesn’t rush you at all. I went in due to a cyst I had for months, and I couldn’t see the two NPs I had consulted before. He got me in very soon, and I was so grateful for his insight and more conservative approach to medicine. We discussed my options, and he made sure I was comfortable and okay during my draining. I would recommend him to any women looking for an OB/GYN.
