About Dr. Blake Butterworth

Blake Butterworth, MD, is a board-certified ob-gyn in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Butterworth was raised in Orange Park, FL and received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2018. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecologists. Dr. Butterworth sees both obstetrics and gynecology patients at Women’s Care. He has a special interest in obstetrical care, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, management of abnormal uterine bleeding and fibroids, pelvic pain and endometriosis, and contraception management.

NFOBGYN provided us with such a wonderful experience as first time parents. Every single doctor we visited with did such an amazing job and cared for us and our questions. Dr. Butterworth was so patient with all of my questions and concerns and did an amazing job with my C-Section. Thankful for such caring doctors.
This was my first pregnancy and I’ve had the best experience with this office throughout my entire pregnancy. You have to see every doctor to get acclimated to them all. The reason for this is because you won’t know who will be delivering your baby until you go into labor. After seeing all the doctors, I’ve grown to love the quality of work by Dr. Blake Butterworth and Dr. S. Brandon New. Dr. Butterworth is always very thorough with my appts. He answers all of my questions with an explanation to the answer given. If there is a question I wouldn’t ask he would make it a point to bring things up that is important for my knowledge. I never felt rushed and always felt cared about. All of my issues, he was strict in regulating my progress and I really appreciate that. I wasn’t delivered by Butterworth but I was delivered by New. Dr. New did an excellent job. He was very informative when I got to the hospital and when it was time for delivery it was a very seamless process. I delivered within minutes of pushing. Great experience. I did see Butterworth on my second day at hospital and once again he was wonderful. These are two amazing doctors and I will be returning when it’s time for baby number two.
I underwent a full hysterectomy with Dr. Butterworth as my surgeon. I cannot sing his praises loudly enough. His bedside manner is wonderful. He is very thorough and kind. He is always gentle and always tells you what he's doing BEFORE he does it. No surprises. I had this surgery because I have chronic pelvic pain. My pain is GONE now. Dr. Butterworth has quite literally changed my life! I am now able to live my life free from pain and I'm able to stop taking all pain medications. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Butterworth.
