Jillian Layne, PA-C, is a highly personable, driven, and team-oriented Physician Assistant dedicated to providing efficient, patient-focused healthcare with knowledge and compassion.
In May 2019, Jillian earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences from Florida State University, and in August 2021, she obtained a Master of Medical Sciences from Nova Southeastern University.
She previously worked at North Atlanta Primary Care as a Physician Assistant, where she obtained full medical histories, performed comprehensive physical examinations, provided diagnoses for patients of all ages in the outpatient setting, developed appropriate treatment plans for managing acute and chronic illnesses and diseases, and counseled patients on diagnoses, medication adherence, side effects, and expectations for medical care.
Jillian routinely orders and interprets necessary bloodwork, in-house labs, urinalyses, diagnostic imaging, EKGs, and spirometry. She performs comprehensive preventive care procedures, including pap smears, pelvic/rectal exams, breast exams, and more. She manages age-appropriate preventive screening measures, collaborates with supervising physicians and peers on clinical diagnosis, works with medical professionals across multiple specialties to provide complex clinical care management, patient education, and counseling, and participates in on-call services offering patients urgent medical care via phone encounters.
Her licenses and certifications include Certified Physician Assistant, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Jillian was incredibly helpful in my decision to get my Nexplanon removed and switch to an IUD. I had been on the fence for a while, but she came with clear facts, knowledge, and made me feel more seen and heard than any other provider has in the past. Her bedside manner is wonderful, and she is 100% the provider I would recommend to anyone of any age. She knows what she is doing and is very kind and straightforward. I specifically booked with her because of her incredible reviews and ratings, even though I live around an hour away. Sarasota is a tough place to find women’s care, and I am so pleased and more than happy to make the drive. I HIGHLY recommend Jillian Layne.

Jillian was wonderful! Such a pleasant experience. She made me feel safe and comfortable relaying my concerns, especially regarding sensitive topics. She was kind and apologetic for the wait time. I would definitely recommend. The front desk staff however were a bit cold and standoffish. Would’ve been nice to be greeted with a smile. But Jillian definitely made up for it :)
