About Dr. John Marston

**If you are making a new patient booking please arrive at the office 30 minutes before your appointment. Similarly, when booking an established patient booking please arrive 15 minutes early** Dr. John Marston is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society, and the Florida Medical Association. He served as Chief of OB/GYN at St Joseph’s Women’s Hospital from 2005-2007 and was Vice Chief 2003-2005. He currently is on the Patient Safety Committee at the Hospital. He also serves on the School Board of Trustees of St John’s Parish Day School and is a former member of the board of directors of Alpha House, a shelter for abused and abandoned pregnant women. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Marston was raised in Tampa. Dr. Marston did his undergraduate work at Harvard University, earning a bachelor of arts degree in history in 1981. Following a year of teaching history and anatomy at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, he attended the University of Miami School of Medicine where he received his doctor of medicine in 1987. Upon completion of his internship and residency in OB/GYN at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., in 1991, he returned to Tampa to join Drs. Yelverton, Lerner, Fallieras, and Kilbride in private practice. Dr. John Marston was named one of the top OB/GYNs in the 2013 and 2016 Bay Area Best Doctors Listing by Tampa Bay Metro Magazine.
