About Dr. Kai Fu
Dr. Kai Fu is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology since 2002. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Florida Obstetrics and Gynecologic Society.
Dr. Fu was born in Taiwan and grew up in West Virginia. Graduating near the top of his class with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, he received his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he is currently serving on the Alumni Executive Committee. He completed his OB/GYN training at the University of Florida in Gainesville at Shands Hospital, where he received several awards during residency, including the “Outstanding Student Teaching” award.
Dr. Fu has been named the Winnie Palmer Hospital Physician of the Quarter 3 times, in 2000, 2014, and 2016. He was featured on Discovery Health Channel in “Birth Day Live!” and named a “Most Accomplished Doctor” by Orlando Health & Leisure Magazine.

I have major White Coat syndrome that makes my experiences at doc offices extremely debilitating. However… Dr. Fu was easy to talk to, calming, and excellent with explaining what was going on and talking me through concerns and questions. First doctor I’ve gone to that didn’t make me feel judged or looked down upon. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone new in the area or a long term resident. :)

Being from the Bahamas, wait time to see a private doctor is anywhere from 1 hour to 2.5 hours. For the public doctor, wait time could be up to 6 hours. However my wait time was record breaking and I received friendly service!

Dr Kai Fu is an amazing doctor! I was very nervous when I arrived and he made me very comfortable. This was my first visit to a gynecologist in the United States, and because of my limitations with the English language, I took with me a list of symptoms and events and he promptly read it all. The nurses and receptionists were also all very professional and kind. Dr Kai Fui will be my gynecologist here in the United States without a doubt.
