About Kara Pinero
Kara Pinero is a certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Florida Board of Nursing and a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Kara has worked as a nurse in the emergency department at Lakeland Regional Health, where she provided obstetrics and gynecology care to patients. She also spent years in the pediatric emergency department at Lakeland Regional Health and at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, working in a variety of specialty areas, including hematology and oncology, neurology, rheumatology, and pulmonary medicine.
Kara earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Florida Southern College, where she graduated summa cum laude and now serves as an adjunct professor.
Before joining Women's Care, Kara worked with CVS Minute Clinic Health Hub, providing gynecological care and serving on the APRN Shared Leadership Council.
Originally from Massena, N.Y., near the Canadian border, Kara has lived in Florida for most of her life.
