About Dr. Margaret Capobianco
Dr. Margaret Capobianco is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She graduated summa cum laude with an honors degree in biology and English Literature from the University of Miami. She received her medical training at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at Indiana University. While in residency, she participated in IU’s Global Health Track and received awards for teaching and excellence in minimally invasive surgery. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons.
Dr. Capobianco is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and gender affirming health care to all patients. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her wife and son. She has intermediate Spanish fluency.

Dr. Capobianco provided a warm, welcoming, and compassionate experience for my first pap smear. They explained everything in detail, told me what was happening and when, and asked for consent multiple times.
Dr. Capobianco also took the time to listen and understand my concerns and perspective. I felt trusted and heard. As a queer, trans person, this was invaluable to me. There was absolutely no judgement or invalidating of what I was saying.
I felt that Dr. Capobianco and her staff at the office were extremely knowledgeable of all identities and experiences which helped the overall experience be less stressful.
I also found the onboarding and paperwork process inclusive, allowing options for different gender identity, pronouns, and sexualities, which certainly helped prepare the staff before the appointment.

Doctor Copobianco was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and easy to talk to. I seeked her out after having a great initial visit with her a couple of years ago. She went out of her way to make note of what was going on in my life at the time and was able to recall that and ask me about updates on big life events. I would definitely recommend her.
