About Dr. Martha Kapitz

Dr. Martha Kapitz is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society, and the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Kapitz has a special interest in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Kapitz earned her baccalaureate degree in biochemistry from Indiana University in 1997. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies. Dr. Kapitz earned her Master of Science in biology from Indiana University-Purdue University in 2000, and her Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University in 2004. Dr. Kapitz completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Florida in 2008 where she was the recipient of the Outstanding Intern Teaching Award in 2004. During her residency, she was also inducted into the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society and was appointed Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Kapitz volunteers her time at the Judeo Christian Health Clinic and is a member of the Women’s Care Florida, Physicians Quality Committee. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, traveling, and training for and running marathons.

Checking in was simple, and I didn’t have to wait long. Although as someone who also works in healthcare if I did I wouldn’t have minded. Met Dr. Kapitz for the first time and I’m so glad that I chose this office. I highly recommend her. Starting with a new doctor is nerve-racking but she completely sent me at ease as soon as she introduced herself and I was very comfortable with her.

When I first went into the office, I made the mistake of going to the wrong window, and the young woman behind it, seemed bother by it, and that made me feel that I had made a mistake by choosing them. My feelings were put at ease immediately after I signed in at the right window with the staff that works for Dr. Kapitz. The consultation with Dr. Kapitz went well. She is very knowledgeable, warm, and kind. She also explains things clearly. I was also very impressed with the whole consultation process because it was fast, but I didn't feel like I was being rushed. Based on my experience today, I truly recommend Dr. Kapitz.
