About Dr. Natasha Gooden

Dr. Natasha K. Gooden is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Gooden earned her medical degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 2004. She completed her residency at the University of South Florida in 2008 and became board eligible that same year. She was the recipient of the John E. Turlich Award for Resident Teaching Excellence in 2007 and was voted the Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Gooden has been a long time resident of the Tampa Bay Area and enjoys hiking, going to outdoor concerts, jogging with her dog, and spending time with friends and family. Over the past two years, I have become more involved in the community through my participation with various organizations. One organization in particular, the Caribbean Community Association, Inc. has garnered my attention. The Caribbean Community Association, Inc. was established twenty years ago by the Caribbean diaspora in the Tampa Bay area. This assembly of people had a desire to care for and serve the Tampa Bay and Caribbean regions through various programs and missions. One of their community serving missions includes sending a team of medical professionals to the parish of Trelawny in Jamaica. In one week the mission works to bring medication, supplies and medical care to the underserved people of that parish. In 2011, I was given the opportunity to participate in this mission trip. My experience in Jamaica opened my eyes to the health care deficits in a place that most Americans may only see as a vacation destination. The beautiful landscapes, foliage and beaches cannot hide the fact that health care needs of this country need to be supplemented.

I enjoyed my experience woth this doctor and the office. I was a little annoyed by the wait time because I got there 30 minutes early, as advised, and still had to wait but i get it- nothing is ever on time in healthcare. The office staff was extremely friendly and i’m glad i went to that one.

Dr. Gooden is highly respectful and shows no judgement. Explained almost every step of the way to avoid surprises, and was very empathetic. She listened to my worries and placated them. Overall a very good experience and I would go again for an annual exam. That being said, there were a few moment that made me slightly uncomfortable that I wish could’ve been avoided. The blanket on my lap covering me was lifted exposing me for both her and the assistant without prior warning and shocked me because that is the most daunting part and I wasn’t warned prior. I know it might seem trivial, but pelvic exams are daunting. The exam was done slowly, walking me every step of the way. She told me I could stop at any point along the way. Afterwards, the assistant opened the exam room door to leave while my chest was still exposed, which was very uncomfortable for me. I just hope in the future this won’t be an issue again. I’m very appreciative, though, and would still recommend Dr. Gooden. Thanks.
Dr.Gooden was amazing, she has great bedside manners, she is a keen listener, showed that she cared about what I was experiencing and had great recommendations and solutions as to how we move forward. This was my first visit with her and I was super comfortably and now I am happy to call her my GYN Doc. I recommend her.

I can’t emphasize how great of an experience this was- I’ve been struggling with specific symptoms for over 10 years, and dr Goodman is the FIRST to truly listen and to recommend some sort of testing to help me figure out what’s going on.
I love her! She's an amazing doctor. It was my first time getting a pap smear, she walked me through the procedure and made sure I was comfortable the whole way through. I recommend her to anyone who is nervous about going to a GYN. Great first experience. The staff is also amazing. I love this practice.

Dr. Gooden, Dr. Patel, and Dr. Greenberg are absolutely amazing. This is my first pregnancy and they go above and beyond to make you feel safe and comfortable at every visit. They truly care and never rush you. They are the best in the Tampa area.

My obgyn is located at this office and she is amazing. Her name is Dr Gooden. She recommend the family physician at this location because I was having a hard time finding a primary care physician. Mrs. Smith was who I saw and she was nice and straight to the point. My wait time was about 10 min. Now I have both of my physicians in one place which is really convenient and she had all of my history because of my obgyn visits with Dr. Gooden. I would recommend both physicians a to any woman that wanted good care and service.
Dr. Gooden is excellent; very caring and sincerely listens to her patients. I been a patient of the practice for 25 years - have seen many different providers there over the years and all are excellent, but really appreciate a woman’s perspective. Would highly recommend this MD and this practice. In addition, had lab work performed at the facility and nurse/phlebotomist was excellent (sorry I did not catch her name).
