About Dr. Nicole Melanson
Dr. Melanson is certified in the fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery and is proficient in performing minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery. Her professional interests also include a wide breadth of obstetrics, including high-risk obstetrics and preventative medicine. She is passionate about using evidence-based medicine in her practice.
Dr. Melanson earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed her ob-gyn residency at the University of Virginia.
She is originally from Texas but was raised in Central Florida and recently moved to Jacksonville in 2020 with her identical twin sister and their Shih-Poo. In her free time, she enjoys the beach, spending time with her family/puppy, running, and working out.

I had an appointment with Drt. Melanson, and I can’t say enough good things about this gynecologist. She was incredibly sweet, caring, and genuinely amazing. She was great! I had my IUD place it seemed like in a minute. There was minimal discomfort/pain. She provided me with what I need to not feel as anxious. She answered all my questions and made it go super quick. Definitely recommend to see her!

This was my first visit to a new doctor and Dr. Melanson was fantastic! I did a good amount of searching before settling on her and I hit the jackpot. Door to door from my office, there and back to my office was under an hour! I'm sure that won't always be the case but it just might. Dr. Melanson spoke to me like we were friends. And the exam was literally the most comfortable exam I've ever had. She put my mind at ease for a lot of concerns I had and she was just an overall fantastic doctor to be seen by. The provider is very friendly and understanding. She addressed all our concerns and was patient throughout the session. We have visited other provider who’s wasn’t good at understanding our issue but this provider I saw good reviews and booked an appointment and we are really happy with her and would definitely refer to anyone who needs a caring, understanding doctor.

I decided to switch OBGYNs after many years because i was starting to feel like a number and nothing seemed personalized. After switching to Dr. Melanson i realized what i had been missing and what a world of a difference bedside manner makes-she is wonderful. Takes the time to explain things so i can understand.
