About Rina Garcia
Rina Garcia, APRN is a board-certified family nurse practitioner delivering comprehensive women’s healthcare at Women’s Care locations in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Brandon, Florida. With an extensive clinical background spanning urology, surgical services, gynecology, and preventive women’s health, Rina provides personalized care to support women at every stage of life. She is committed to patient education, collaborative care, and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health. Rina’s holistic approach focuses on long-term wellness, compassionate communication, and building trusting patient relationships.
Rina brings more than a decade of diverse clinical and surgical experience to Women’s Care. Her advanced practice work at St. Anthony Hospital’s Suncoast Urology group included managing complex urological conditions such as urinary infections, kidney stones, incontinence, urothelial and prostate cancers, and postmenopausal bladder disorders. She also developed deep expertise in diagnostic interpretation, perioperative care, and individualized treatment planning.
Before becoming an APRN, Rina served as a surgical circulator and charge nurse, with proficiency in da Vinci robotic-assisted gynecology, urology, and general surgery. Her experience includes leadership roles, staff mentoring, surgical team coordination, and direct collaboration with gynecologists and oncologists. At the Pinellas County Health Department and Planned Parenthood, she provided essential gynecologic services, including family planning, contraceptive counseling, STD testing, colposcopy support, IUD placement assistance, and patient education, giving her a strong foundation in community women’s health.
Rina earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of West Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Petersburg College. Rina completed specialized training, including the RN First Assistant (RNFA)
