About Dr. Sarah Dolan
Sarah Dolan, MD is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist in Jacksonville, FL. She received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. After completing her residency in OBGYN at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in 2017, Dr. Dolan served as an officer in the US Navy with tours of duty at the Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan; Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Oceanside CA; and Naval Hospital Jacksonville FL. During her residency, she received the Outstanding Intern Award and was elected Administrative Chief Resident with graduate awards for excellence in obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Dolan served for 4 years in the ACOG Armed Forces District and was selected to attend the ACOG Cefalo Leadership Conference in 2019. She also served as the Department Head of OBGYN at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton as well as Senior Medical Officer for the OBGYN Clinic at the Naval Hospital Jacksonville. As faculty for the family medicine residency, she received the “Top Specialty Care Educator” award in 2023.
Dr. Dolan and her husband, Kevin, have two daughters and two Australian cattle dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, running, and competing in triathlons.

I had a really positive experience at my appointment today. She was professional, kind, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the visit. She took the time to listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions clearly, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand.
I especially appreciated how gentle and respectful she was during the exam, which made what can sometimes be an uncomfortable experience feel much more manageable. It’s clear that she truly cares about her patients and their well-being.
I’m very grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate professional.

I came in to discuss birth control options and after this conversation I felt most comfortable with trying a specific non-hormonal physical option to which she was quite hesitant and condescending, telling me multiple times that it isn’t as effective as some other hormonal options. I said I understood, but wanted to try it anyway. She then informed me that she hasn’t done any fitting for these in so long and didn’t have the kit on hand. So I was sent away with no more answers or help and spent the next several hours on and off the phone with the office only to find out she is the ONLY doctor who does these fittings.
While I understand this birth control method is more archaic than others, the fact that she was the only doctor to provide a fitting and still didn’t have the kit available to her, AND spoke down to me as though I was stupid, was a huge turn off for ever going back to see her or this office again.
