About Dr. Sonja Perkins

** Dr. Perkins is only able to see 14+ ** Dr. Sonja Perkins is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Medical Association. Dr. Perkins specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic, laparoscopic, and robotic laparoscopic surgery as well as alternatives to hysterectomy. Her interest also includes urogynecology and infertility evaluations. Dr. Perkins is also a clinical instructor for physician assistants and medical students, and enjoys training students to be caring and competent providers for women’s healthcare. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota but raised in central Florida since birth, Dr. Perkins has practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Tampa since 2003. Dr. Perkins worked in Atlanta, Georgia from 2000 to 2003 in a private group practice of obstetricians and gynecologists before relocating to the Tampa Bay area. She attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolina where she earned her baccalaureate of science and engineering in biomedical engineering in 1991. Her doctorate of medicine was received from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Perkins completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2002 at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. She is married with two energetic boys, and enjoys participating in local community activities and sports. I have been going to Dr. Perkins for several years, even prior to having kids. As a matter of fact, Dr. Perkins delivered both of my kids, my 19 year-old son and my eleven year-old daughter. I continue to use her as my OBGYN because she is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Whenever someone asks me for an OBGYN recommendation, Dr. Perkins is always the name I give them!

it was a good visit. Dr Perkins is so nice. she is a good listener obviously. she answered all my questions,and listened all my problems. in my surgical procedure i didn't even feel that much pain what i experienced in ER before. she is so caring. during my procedure there was some blood stain on my dress what i didn't even notice,but she cleaned that stain by herself. I'm glad that i made the right decision to make an appointment with her. she is a good doctor .i would definitely recommend her

All the experience was excellent, Dr. Perkins and her medical assistant were super nice and kind, make you feel warm and cuddled. The ladies at the front desk as well. have been coming to Dr. Solomon since I was 16 years old. Dr. Bray delivered both my boys and is also wonderful but Dr. Solomon is my go to :) I love this office, the staff is very nice and cares what you have to say. They always greet you with a smile. Anytime I needed help with insurance they have always been great and never got frustrated or anything. I will continue to see Dr. Solomon, Dr. Bray or Dr. Perkins for my medical needs.
